It’s still [PROCESSED] – Skinny Cow Dairy

I caved in today because my lunch was just not tasty (I had a romaine lettuce salad with mushrooms, steak meat and no dressing. We were at a pizza place and I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat anything else, so I got a bland salad to make sure I didn’t eat the other crap) but…BUT…I “allowed” myself to eat this Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich because, heh, I feel pretty good, and I was not satisfied after lunch….soooo…..why not? Well, for about 5 minutes of deliciousness, I started having [literally] a sour stomach, as if all of the plumbing and pistons decided to work a little harder and faster than usual…

So lesson learned…even if it’s disguised with good numbers, a good name [Skinny], it’s still PROCESSED JUNK.

Thurs, 2/7 – Seeing results, Feeling great, and Paleo Day 3

Day started at 715am

Another good day! I woke up this morning excited to cook my left overs from lunch yesterday for breakfast. I’m also excited to eat this food! I feel so liberated to find recipes that doesn’t call for bread cheese milk and the like. It was always hard to follow recipes on past meal plans because I just didn’t want to make complicated 20 ingredient meals and 2 hour preps otherwise it would be bland and boring. Anyway, I’m enjoying cooking again and I noticed today that I’m not squirming for nibbles all day long. My appetite was sustaining for once and I didn’t have sugar cravings as bad as when I was on the other meal plans/diets.

Ah…good food. I don’t even miss rice as much as I expected. This type of food makes me feel satiated and I don’t feel incredibly hungry every 5 minutes. So far so good!

I’m starting to notice definition in my abs! First time ever! I’m definitely starting to see physical changes and it has been over 4 weeks which it usually takes about that much time before I’m supposed to notice. I think this next 30 days will be defining when I check in. It’s only day 7 and I’m excited!

EXERCISE
Muscle + 1 hour session

I like my workouts written so I can read them and log them. Not to mention that is how we learn what we are doing. I wish more fitness classes would do that.

Amazing chicken dish! I got the recipe from RecipeGirl.com. The flavor was incredible and I didn’t add much salt or sugar. Perfectly cooked to perfection! I don’t think this recipe could have been easier. Try it!!

[Me: I’ve been craving muffins! So I found this incredible recipe without grains (using almond and coconut flour) so I’m excited to try it out!]

The Balanced Appetite

Soooo…. I’ve never really been a huge fan of blueberries.

They’re just not sweet enough for this girl.  Unless of course they’re baked with tons of sugar and stuffed into a muffin.  Then I am so down with blueberries.  Same with rhubarb and raspberries.  Add a bit (or a lot) of sugar to them and I’ll devour them!

Remember when I said I was conquering my sugar addiction? Ha! Sorry friends, still craving it daily.  That’s kind of how these muffins came about.  I couldn’t get those damn chocolate costco muffins out of my head! Then I saw blueberries at the store… and all of a sudden I just had to have a blueberry muffin.

A real blueberry muffin, not a mushy, bland, “healthy” muffin.  I wanted a muffin with texture and flavor, no gluten or other grains, low in sugar, and some actual nutrients.  Asking too much?

Nope!!!! These are…
